MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Effectively teach and coordinate Construction Technology courses and serve as the program coordinator.
- Responsible for program effectiveness, including student learning outcomes, continuous review, assessment, and development.
- Create and actively engage all areas of the Construction Technology sector’s academic initiatives to include any credential audits and apprenticeship relationships within the community.
- Provide for and be actively involved in on-going evaluations, development, and enhancement of Construction Technology offerings.
- Develop strategic plan for improving the Construction Technology program to include scheduling, recruitment efforts to draw students into the Construction Technology program offerings, advising, and advisory board effectiveness.
- Maintain community relations within the service area, and oversee an active advisory council for the Construction Technology Program.
- Participate in academic and student enhancement activities, including student advising.
- Maintain and improve, through professional development, competence in discipline knowledge and instructional techniques.
- Participate in internal and external service activities (college committees, system committees, community relations).
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Associate Degree in related field (Construction, Construction Management Carpentry), and a minimum of 2 years of Construction Management experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality instruction, student learning, and instructional and institutional effectiveness.
- Demonstrated effective technology skills, communication skills (written and verbal), and organizational and human relations skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to the comprehensive community college concept and team management.
- Demonstrated commitment to the KCTCS/Hopkinsville Community College strategic plan.
KY law requires state and national pre-employment background
