Bite Size Learning Series 

Dr. OJ Oleka will share the importance of deep relationships amongst business, education, and government leaders so that specific challenges facing Christian County surrounding workforce opportunities, labor skill gaps, and educational attainment can be solved. This round table type conversation will focus on how to build relationships to resolve momentary challenges in peoples? lives in a way that can lead to transformational outcomes for individuals and communities.
 

Dr. OJ Oleka is a leading non-profit executive in Kentucky. Dr. Oleka has been an executive leader in both the private and public sector for over a decade, leading organizations to unprecedented success by building strong teams, executing strategic plans, and developing healthy cultures.

Dr. Oleka has a lifelong mission to end generational poverty in the United States and give every American a shot at living the American Dream. As the child of Nigerian immigrants, Dr. Oleka is an example of how educational opportunity can pull families out of poverty. Dr. Oleka earned a Marketing degree from the University of Louisville and an MBA from Bellarmine University before receiving a PhD in Leadership in Higher Education, also from Bellarmine, where he focused on college affordability, social capital, and workforce development.

As a public speaker, Dr. Oleka has spoken on a wide variety of topics that include organizational leadership and leadership identity, financial literacy, policy advocacy, crisis management, social capital, and racial justice. Dr. Oleka was recently selected for the Louisville Business First Forty Under 40 list. Dr. Oleka serves on several boards and commissions, including the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Oleka lives in Frankfort, KY with his wife Jamie, their daughters Riley and Reese, and their dog Ashe.
